The chosen one
"Be the best" is the motto of a high performance medalist athlete; Here we review how an Olympic athlete prepares prior to his maximum competition.

Training for a professional athlete is beyond basic skills, it is a discipline that is applied every day, regardless of the current climate or situation, it is always being active and thinking about winning everything.
From the diet that includes fish, meat, cereals, vegetables, fruit and dairy, which has to be strict and precise in terms of caloric content. That same discipline is carried into his training hours, which are between 8 to 10 hours a day so that he is 100% focused and on pace. Everything is key, because to be the best, even the sleeping position matters.
An athlete also works on the mental factor, always without atrophying his mind and body, so from time to time it is not a bad thing to detach a little from his discipline, be it a party or the simple fact of going out to live with his friends or family.
On the other hand, a badly handled injury can end the professional life of the athlete, so when one of them is injured, it must be treated with delicacy. The sleep factor plays something very important in cell regeneration, which is why athletes always try to sleep eight hours a day and take naps during the day.
Entering the issue of the pandemic, CONADE adapted the facilities so that the athletes did not lose rhythm prior to the Olympic competitions and thus be 100 in Tokyo 2021. "Concentration" is the key word for all athletes, colloquially speaking, "forgetting the world while competing" sounds selfish, but it depends on that all the hours invested throughout their preparation achieve positive results.
And in that sense, it is evident that an athlete needs to dedicate their full time to preparing, so one of the most talked about issues is the amount that governments allocate to financially support their Olympic athletes.
CONADE pays $600 per gold medal, it goes without saying that they are not paid for going to any competition, therefore the per diem is covered by the participant and for these Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021 Mexican athletes have requested an increase per medal won; demand that is evident to us, because the rewards are too low compared to the effort they invest for years and years.
Without a doubt, high performance athletes give their lives to each discipline, they are gifted humans seeking to win everything. In this sense, it is understandable that our Olympic delegation usually raises its voice in search of receiving better support, in order to be able to return home with a higher quota of medals. Currently an athlete registered with CONADE receives a monthly lifetime scholarship between $ 350 and $ 500 USD.
